Human Influence

Humans have made a huge impact on the world's tropical rainforests.  Negatively, they have cut down thousands upon thousands of trees for timber.  Positively, the carbon dioxide given off from the emissions machines and factories give off in the tropical rainforest.

Biodiversity

Biodiversity is important because having a variety of types of organisms and biomes gives the world more diversity.  If every place on earth was the same and all organisms were the same it wouldn't work right and it would get boring.  Having different places and types of organisms makes the world succeed.  It would be weird if you were eating the same species as yourself, you need other prey thats not yourself.  If the biomes were all the same every organism would act the same.

Humans are deliberately cutting down trees for timber.  Cutting down the trees in the tropical rainforest will cause plants to die, and animals that eat plants to die out, and the animals that eat them will also die out because they have nothing to eat.

 Solutions

To prevent deforestation people could use computers instead of killing millions of trees for paper.  It saves the trees and biomes all together.  A computer is a one time expense, and paper you have to keep buying more and more of it.

Today humans are inadvertently releasing carbon dioxide into the air in tropical rainforests.  That carbon dioxide is beneficial to plants because it is what they use to make food and survive.

Releasing carbon dioxide is helping plants in a big way.  The fumes may be helping the plants but they are harming many other innocent organisms.  To save the lives of those other organisms it harms people are starting to use "green" cars that run on electricity.
